Taming the Locker Monster
Let's face it-there are some things about your locker that you can't really
change. The size. The location. The color. But even if your locker is painted a
scary biohazard orange, you can control what it looks like on the inside. You
can make it your home away from home. So why not make it a place that not only
looks cool, but also helps you keep your sanity during the school day?!
Let's start with the reason you actually have a locker in the first
place-school. You're there to get an education, and that means lots of books.
Instead of breaking your back with an overloaded bag, how about keeping some
books in your locker-you could make a quick pit to change books so you end up
carrying only the books you actually need.
But to make room for all those books, plus all the other stuff you've got to
cram into your locker, let's make sure you're using all the space in that
narrow little metal box.
Locker shelves are a good way to make more room. You can have a shelf for your
textbooks, a shelf for your gym bag, and an extra shelf for the fun
stuff-makeup, mirrors, CDs.
And it's easy to organize all those loose papers that tend pile up in dark
corners when you have our Big Mouth™ Backpack
Filer The Big Mouth slides easily into both backpacks and lockers and
has five interior folders in five cool colors. The folders are removable, so
you can pull them out individually and take them to class. Binders are another
great locker solution-you can fit all your class materials into our
3RB Style Binder and Student Snapper Folder
with pockets! It's got pockets!
Back to those books-since you're going to be doing a quick grab on your way to
class, make sure you always place your school books in your locker standing
upright with the title facing out toward you. If you have separate notebooks or
folders for each class, keep those right next to the textbook for the class.
Have fun with it, and don't forget to decorate!
